EUGENE, OR — This October, Radiant Community Arts will collaborate with artist Elizabeth Foley and Hope & Safety Alliance to raise awareness and support for domestic violence survivors.
The upcoming exhibition, titled “Rebirth,” will feature paintings and sculptures by Foley as well as artists from across the country, with The Hope & Safety Alliance receiving fifteen percent of all art sales. The exhibition will showcase artwork that represents the courage, resilience, and strength of survivors of domestic violence, creating a powerful visual narrative of healing and transformation.
Foley has previously presented this exhibition in other areas of the country and is bringing her meaningful collection to Eugene to share works that speak directly to the experience of surviving and healing from domestic violence. At the conclusion of the exhibition, a metal sculpture by Foley will be donated permanently to Hope & Safety Alliance.
“I want this work to inspire more conversation about domestic violence,” says Foley. “It’s important to show myself and others that we don’t need to hide this part of who we are.”
The exhibition will open during the First Friday ArtWalk on October 3rd and remain on display until November 21st. The opening reception will provide an opportunity for community members to meet Hope & Safety Alliance representatives and several of the featured artists.
